Event Details
Fishers Annual Renaissance Faire is back this weekend for all things fantasy and Tudor.
Here at Tina's we wanted to celebrate as well, with giving you an option of a full course dinner after the faire.
Costume is highly encouraged, but not a requirement to enjoy the festivities. There will be prizes for the best dressed.
In 16th century England, manners and etiquette were very important with every meal. We will go a few that are a must (napkin over shoulder to keep the Devil at bay), and point out the frowned upon ones, like "the release of wind".
The diet of the rich and poor throughout medieval times differed markedly. I 've put together a menu that would have a mixture of both poor and rich social status included, so we have a taste of the period as a whole.
Menu:
Start of the evening with a refreshing glass of:
Piment:Sweetened Spiced Wine (non-alcoholic)
Starter:
Cabbage Pottage with Barley Bread
Main:
Elizabeth I's Roast Pork with Raisins & Rosemary Stuffing with Cider Sauce
Leeks in Cheese Sauce
Spiced Red Cabbage
Final Course:
Tudor- Style Apple & Pear Pie
*Sales Tax and Gratuity is included in the ticket price.
Hot tea and Coffee are included in the ticket pricing. Beer, Wine, Cider, or Champagne are available for additional price during the dinner.
