Description
Local business owners Greg Kelsay, Ron Kelsay, and Bill Poland are partnering with Columbus-based 450 North Brewery and Simmons Winery owners David and Brenda (Kelsay) Simmons in Riverfront Taproom located in the newly created Riverfront District in downtown Shelbyville. The 250 plus seat restaurant and brewpub is now open in the former Kiefer’s Furniture Store located at 530 North Harrison Street.
Riverfront Taproom features 32 taps of local craft beer and hard cider, with half of those from 450 North Brewery and Gnarly Grove Hard Cider.
Riverfront Taproom has an onsite brewery and features 3-4 beers of its own. The remaining taps showcase other Indiana craft breweries. The restaurant also includes a Wine Tasting Room where customers can taste and purchase wine by the glass and bottles to-go.
Brick Oven Pizza is the featured menu item along with gourmet burgers, appetizers, and select entrees. Fresh, local ingredients including fresh fruits and vegetables and meats, cheese, and breads from other Indiana producers are utilized.
Riverfront Taproom also includes a unique barrel room, that is available for larger parties, meetings, and events for up to 50 people. An outdoor deck overlooking the Big Blue River will complement the outdoor seating in the warmer seasons.
